An Aircraftsman’s Story-George Pierce Howells 1913-1994

This autobiography was initially published for family members and has been serialised in the RAAF Armourers' Association newsletter, it was assembled by his son from papers found after his death.

The book is in three parts, his early life before the war, his time in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War 2 and life after the war in the peace time RAAF including time spent in Japan as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force. George joined the RAAF in 1941 as an Aircraftsman, he retired in 1969 as a Warrant Officer.
